Topic: public presentation of the bill

After the expert team made a final draft of the amendments to BiH Constitution and Law on the Principles of the Local Self-Government, which are the results of seven public discussions held in the municipalities all over BiH, the public presentation of the drafts of these legal documents was held in the Press Centre of BiH Parliament. The bill and the draft of the amendments to BiH Constitution were presented by the members of the expert team: Mr Sahbaz Djihanovic, Prof. Mirko Pejanovic, PhD, Mr Vehid Sehic and Mr Nikola Sekulovic, the president of the Assembly of Trebinje Municipality.

Many media from Sarajevo responded to the invitation to the public presentation, which was in a way some kind of the press conference. The information about the presentation of the bill and draft of the amendments to BiH Constitution was passed to the public by different newspapers and TV and radio stations in Sarajevo. We would like to point out the state-owned TV stations BHT1 and RTV of Federation BiH, which presented the essence and the aims for passing of this law. They especially emphasised what should be the domain of the jurisdiction of the local communities so they satisfy and implement the interests and needs of their citizens.

Results: Many questions asked by the journalists at the presentation and very correct media information that were published after the presentation prove that this initiative, which is the result of one-year work, achieved it aim, as well as that the presenters succeeded to get the interest of the media due to the importance of the topic and the law itself.
