Topic: the position of the local communities and FTC initiative

After the presentation held in Sarajevo, which promoted the initiative of FTC, the state-owned TV station BHT1 invited the president of FTC, Mr Vehid Sehic to be the guest in their regular TV show “Porota” (the Jury). The topic of the show was the position of the local communities in BiH and the initiative of FTC.
The show was broadcasted on Monday, March 31, 2008, at 21.00 hrs.

In one-hour show, the participants spoke about the problems they face in performing their duties. We would like to emphasise that the initiative of FTC was supported by all guests of the show and that they completely agreed that it is necessary to be introduced into the parliamentary procedure. In addition, we would like to emphasise the support from Mr Lipovac, Minister of RS, who gave positive assessment of the initiative if it is not in collision with the Constitution of RS, which is not the case.

Results: the show at the state-owned TV station, which was initiated by the public presentation, is continuation of the public discussion and one of the project results that we hoped to achieve. At the end of the show, the jury in the studio, consisted of young people, voted about the justification of the initiative and supported the initiative with absolute majority.
